I’m a 40-something woman living in Austin, Texas. Late in 2014, I got the news that I have amelanotic nodular melanoma. It was really difficult to find much about the disease that wasn’t all medical jargon. And I found nothing about what it’s like to live with this. So, I made a blog to hopefully give others with this diagnosis some insight (and give myself a place to talk my experience because you know friends can only listen to so much before they politely zone out 😉 )
Sometimes, this blog will be about me dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Sometimes, this blog will be about me trying to learn to accept myself – flaws, scars, and all. Sometimes, this blog will be about my travel adventures. Sometimes, this blog will be me sharing some news about treating skin cancer. And sometimes, this blog will be about me rambling on about nothing of consequence.
Feel free to ask questions or comment on any of the posts; just know that any negative or spammy stuff will be deleted. I can also be reached by email if you ask nicely enough…
Hi
I was wondering how you are doing
Hi, I’ve been ok, just dealing with some weirdness my mind decided to conjure up for me. Hope you are doing well.
