At the beginning of the month, I had to get two more spots shaved off and biopsied. As mentioned in a previous post, one was just a normal mole but the other was atypical.
And of course, since I’m paranoid that I’m going to have another melanoma spot to deal with at some point, I’m keeping a close eye on the healing bullet holes I have from the last appointment with the dermatologist. The one that wasn’t anything to be concerned about is healing just fine, a little red still but on its way to looking somewhat normal. But the atypical spot, that still has a big old scabby looking thing over it. I’m trying to decide if she just cut a little deeper into that spot because she thought it looked weird and wanted to get a deeper sample of tissue or if it’s healing weird.
I tried getting a picture but it just looks like a big black spot in the middle of pinkish skin. It looks like the creepy pictures of dark melanoma spots now. I know I’m paranoid. I know that… But I’m still not liking that scabby thing…
