The events the past weekend in Charlottesville were pretty upsetting to me. There was other bits of upsetting news as well, one of which was that Nile Rodgers was hospitalized. About a year ago or so, I got to go see Nile Rodgers open up for Duran Duran. At the time, I wrote about how his battle and triumph over cancer really inspired me. So you can imagine how the news that he was hospitalized made me sad (especially when there was already so much sad news happening at once).
Well, I’m glad to see that Mr. Rodgers has been discharged from the hospital. It’s a bit of bright news on a week that just seems to get more and more surreal.
